British National Referred To Prevent Programme
Esa Suleiman, identified as the suspect in the London terrorist attack, was referred to the counter-terrorism program Prevent in 2020. A 45-year-old man identified as SS Suleiman was the assailant in a recent attack where officials stated an attack was highly likely in the next six months. The Prime Minister issued a statement noting that community members are scared to practice their religion at synagogues. The incident follows a period where the UK terrorism threat level was raised to severe.
