Coldo García Claims Officials Provided 500 Euro Notes
In the Supreme Court, Coldo García testified that he received one or two 500 euro notes per month, which he referred to as 'chistorras' in messages. The lawyer for García stated that the defendant did not understand certain slang terms used, such as 'soles' or 'lechugas', which referred to 100 and 200 euro bills. García's defense maintains that references to 'chistorras' were sometimes literal mentions of the sausage rather than code for money. A defendant in the Aldama fiscal case has acknowledged that the cash referred to as 'chistorras' consisted of 500 euro banknotes. The individual reportedly received 10,000 euros monthly from Aldama. The defense declined to respond to further fiscal questions during the session, citing the defendant's exhaustion after long hours of testimony. Further questioning on economic matters is scheduled for Monday.
