Fedor Shchukin Nominated To Lead Dagestan
The current Deputy Premier has been proposed to serve as the new Prime Minister of Dagestan. Vladimir Putin has supported the candidacy of Fedor Shchukin, the chairman of the Supreme Court of Dagestan, to become the head of the republic. Melikov, who has led the region since 2021, is set to leave his post in September to transition to a different role. The Kremlin has promised to closely monitor the performance of the new leadership team.
