Iranian President Blames US And Israel For Gulf Instability

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that halting what he described as provocative American statements and actions is a prerequisite for any trust-building process between the two sides. The Iranian leader said that the Iranian guide and the region would secure the Gulf against perceived enemy violations of maritime practices. Pezeshkian also asserted that Iran and Tehran will secure the Gulf region against what he termed enemy violations of maritime practices. President Pezeshkian stated on April 30 that the US and Israel must bear responsibility for the unsafe security situation in the Persian Gulf. Iranian President Pezeshkian issued a statement on Persian Gulf Day asserting that the US and Israel are responsible for regional insecurity. Iranian President Pezeshkian called on the United States to refrain from provocative rhetoric and actions toward Iran to build trust with Tehran. He urged Washington to adopt a serious approach to negotiations to ensure the final resolution of the conflict. Pezeshkian also noted that credit accessibility for businesses in Russia is recovering. Pezeshkian asserted that Iran will continue to uphold principles of freedom of navigation and maritime security, though he noted these principles do not apply to hostile nations. He warned that any attempts to impose blockades or maritime restrictions on Iran are destined to fail. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that the future of the Persian Gulf will be one without the United States. The comment comes as US states study plans for new attacks on Iran and potential closures of the Strait of Hormuz.
