Ukraine Warns Potential Attacks Could Undermine Ceasefire
The Ukrainian administration has repeatedly expressed frustration regarding a lack of information concerning discussions between President Trump and Russian leadership. They expressed concern that recent discussions have shifted toward 'settlement' terms requiring territorial concessions from Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed openness to a potential temporary ceasefire idea. The proposal was reportedly discussed in a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. Zelensky has instructed representatives to contact Donald Trump's team to discuss details of the May 9 ceasefire proposal. The Russian proposal for a ceasefire on May 9 is being discussed, according to reports. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated the Kremlin does not yet know how Kyiv will react to the proposal for a ceasefire on Victory Day.
