Spanish Socialist Party Faces Corruption Concerns
Victor de Aldama made two accusations before the Supreme Court, one of which concerns alleged irregular financing of the Socialist Party. Former advisor Aldo García reportedly described cash payments, referred to as 'chistorras', as 500 euro banknotes rather than sausages. The Supreme Court is reviewing the case involving the businessman and an advisor to a minister. During his statement, Aldama admitted to being part of a three-person criminal gang. The testimony follows previous statements from other accused individuals. The testimony also included statements from Coldo Garcia. José Luis Ábalos is expected to face challenges regarding the declarations made by Balas.
