World Skills Competition Held In Shanghai
Participants in heavy vehicle repair skills competitions must demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and maintaining six major modules across all heavy vehicle categories. China's team defeated Denmark 3-0 to advance to the finals, with Xie Yuqi scoring two goals in the first match. The Chinese team will face France in the final. The event is taking place in Beijing. Participants from various countries are expected to compete. The competition includes categories such as vehicle electrical systems, which are compared to the human nervous system, and vehicle lighting, akin to eyesight. A trial event in Shanghai may feature Chinese-manufactured heavy vehicles. The World Skills Competition, described as the Olympics of vocational skills, is the highest level international vocational skills event held biennially. The 44th competition was held in Abu Dhabi in 2017.
