Workplace Safety Memorial Observed In Hessen
The IG BAU union called for a minute of silence at 12:00 PM to observe World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The observance follows a recent industrial accident in a Runkel tannery two weeks ago that killed four people. Hessen reported 50,000 workplace-related incidents last year. The industrial union Bauen Agrar Umwelt has called for a minute of silence at 12:00 PM to observe World Workhouse Memorial Day. The state government is expected to pass related measures tomorrow.
