Severe Thunderstorm Hits Wise County
A tornado warning is in effect for Wise County due to a dangerous storm capable of producing a tornado. Tornado warnings have been extended to include South Central Wise County, North Central Wise County, and Parker County. Winds of 90 mph were reported in Springtown, Texas, as part of the tornado warning for Wise County. Hail measuring 1.75 inches has been reported in Springtown. High winds, including reports of 90 mph, are impacting the region. debris and downed trees are reported along Highway 199, specifically from the Ross Road Southeast area. Extremely strong winds have caused damage to large trees and infrastructure. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Westworth Village as of 10:30. The warning covers the area from mile marker 1 to mile marker 19, spanning east and west of Weatherford. A tornado watch also remains in effect until 11:00 PM.
