Maryland Governor Replaces Key Bridge Contractor
Governor Wes Moore and the Maryland Transportation Authority have decided to fire Key Wit, the contractor hired to rebuild the Key Bridge. The contractor will not remain on the project, according to state officials. Maryland officials have dropped the firm originally selected for phase two construction of Baltimore's Key Bridge. Maryland and Baltimore state transportation leaders announced that Keybridge infrastructure will not continue with its current project partner. State officials indicated they are determined to complete the bridge project. The governor noted that design plans for the project have been largely completed in months rather than years. The Maryland governor's office and transportation secretary have reached a disagreement with Keywood Construction Company regarding a bridge project.
