Man Surrenders After Syracuse Standoff

Two soldiers and a firearms dealer have been arrested in Thailand on suspicion of illegal gun sales, involving firearms, bullets, and bombs. One arrested soldier is a gun training instructor at a Pattaya shooting range, and another is a Marine Corps lieutenant. A gun dealer named Zhan Luomei was also arrested for providing guns to Chinese individuals. Further investigation revealed a 9mm pistol, previously owned by former police officer Sarawat Sopho Saimai, was later declared a national weapon. Police discovered weapons, including a 26-caliber 9mm pistol, bullets, and bombs, along with a 'Weapons and War' magazine, during a car search. The pistol's history was traced back to Sarawat Suobo Saimai, who worked at the police station and was considered its original owner before it was declared a national weapon. A dealer named Janlome, who supplied firearms to Chinese individuals, was also identified. A 55-year-old man, Rodney Vanderpool, was involved in a standoff with police in Syracuse, which also involved a 3-year-old.
