Man Deemed Not Criminally Responsible For Shooting Police Officer
A former teacher, Andrew Britt, will not stand trial for shooting a Baltimore County police officer at the Wilkins precinct. The Baltimore County state's attorney's office stated a psychologist determined Britt is not criminally responsible for the shooting that occurred in March of last year. The incident took place in the parking lot of the precinct. The officer involved survived the shooting. A state psychologist will determine the appropriate treatment for Britt following the plea.
