JPL Member Michael David Hicks Shot Dead
Michael David Hicks, a member of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory involved in the development of the Hubble Space Telescope, was shot and killed on his porch on February 16, 2026. The assailant reportedly entered his isolated property before the shooting occurred. The shooter has been detained and is scheduled to appear in court next week to begin trial.
