Fatal Accident Shuts Down I-55 Southbound
One person died in an accident on Interstate 55. All southbound lanes are currently shut down between US 30 and US 52. Traffic is being diverted at US 30 toward Route 59 to reach the southbound side. Northbound lanes are experiencing delays with crews working to reopen lanes. Drivers are currently using the shoulder to bypass the congestion.
