The Bronx District Attorney's Office stated that 16 people are facing criminal charges for an elaborate scheme to steal tires, rims, and other car parts. District Attorney D'Arcel Clark said the stolen items were being resold across the borough. The scheme targeted many residents across the Bronx. Police arrested 22-year-old Andrew Tolinch for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Jonathan Mello in the Bronx. The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon during a fight outside a building in Soundview. NYPD officials stated a social media dispute preceded the confrontation. Mello was stabbed in the back and later died at the hospital.
