Prosecutor Argues Against Bail For Allen
A federal judge is scheduled to decide tomorrow whether to use specific evidence in the Cole Allen case. The photo depicts Allen wearing a black dress shirt, black pants, and a red necktie with a shoulder holster, knife, pliers, and wire cutters. The Justice Department argued against the use of certain elements in its written submission. Prosecutors stated Allen bought a Metro smart card in California before traveling from Union Station to Dupont Circle the afternoon before the shooting. The Justice Department is seeking to hold Allen until trial, stating his intended plan would have caused one of the darkest days in American history. The filing states that Cole Allen traveled with an ammo bag, shoulder holster, and knives. The report was provided by NPR News reporter Brian Lucas.
