China To Launch Six-Month Inspection Of Influencer Foods
Chinese authorities are targeting three types of illegal activities involving e-commerce platforms, platform operators, marketing service agencies, and food producers. Authorities intend to strictly punish entities that permit or facilitate fraudulent claims and counterfeit production. The target represents a 20 trillion yuan growth space over a 15-year period. New guidance issued aims for the service sector to reach 100 trillion yuan by 2030, representing a 20 trillion yuan growth potential during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Commercial big data monitoring shows that prices for grain, oil, beef, and fruit at 200 large agricultural wholesale markets across China remained basically flat on April 27 compared to the previous week.
