Tunisia Invests 4 Million Euros In New Metro Cars

Tunisia has initiated a contract for 30 new metro carriages to upgrade its local transport infrastructure. Tunisia is planning to acquire new metro and train carriages as part of a new strategy. The current metro system utilizes a strategy of using two carriages per train. Two metro carriages have been utilized, according to the report. The acquisition is estimated to cost approximately 400 million dinars. The new carriages will feature a width of 2.8 meters and support two-way travel. One specific cost mentioned is approximately 80 dinars for certain components. The new rolling stock includes cars with a width of 2.45 meters and a capacity for 400 passengers.
