Turkey and Syria Seize $300M Drug Shipment

Turkish Intelligence and the Syrian Ministry of Interior conducted a joint drug operation. Authorities seized 236 kilograms of narcotics from a vessel originating in Southeast Asia. The confiscated substances are valued at approximately 300 million Turkish Lira. The seizure occurred in Laskia during the coordinated maritime operation. Turkish intelligence (MİT) and Syrian narcotics units conducted a joint operation on April 16. The operation involved coordination between MİT, the Ministry of Trade Customs Enforcement General Directorate, and the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs narcotics units.
