Third Tourist Body Found In Buryatia

Three tourists from a Krasnoyarsk group died from hypothermia during a descent of Mount Saryg-Bulak in Buryatia on April 23. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that half of the group from Irkutsk survived the incident. Rescuers have recovered the bodies of the three deceased individuals, while one rescuer remains missing. An avalanche struck workers at a mine in the Muysky district of Buryatia on Tuesday, resulting in three confirmed deaths. Six people were extracted from the snow, and one rescuer is reported missing. A municipal-level state of emergency has been declared. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that six people were rescued from under snow debris following the avalanche at the Irka Kinda mine in the Muysky district. A municipal-level emergency regime has been declared and access to Amunka Sardyk is restricted until Wednesday. The individual died during an ascent on Mount Munku Sordyk in the Eastern Sayan mountains. The group of seven people had been climbing the pass since April 24.
