Russian Aircraft Program Completes Certification Tests
Russian aerobatic flight groups and Su-25 attack aircraft will fly over Red Square in Moscow. Russian military officials announced Tuesday that the upcoming parade will include an aviation component. Evgeniy Tishkovets, a specialist from the FOBOS center, predicts sunny and dry weather for Moscow by May 2. The defense ministry noted these maneuvers are based on the current operational security situation. Russia is conducting technical work to authorize the Superjet-100 for civilian aviation passenger transport. The Superjet-100 is a short-haul, narrow-body aircraft developed under an import-substitution program for component systems. Currently, 26 serial aircraft are in various stages of readiness, with 42 additional units ordered. The aircraft is intended to serve as an additional model within the Superjet liner series.
