60-Year-Old Cleophas Canton Sentenced For Sexual Abuse
Prosecutors believe there could be other victims of Canton, who is also part of the D.C. go-go music scene. Keisha Spencer, a victim abused by Canton, urged other individuals to come forward for justice. Prince George's County Police or the state's attorney's office are asking anyone with information to contact them. The abuse occurred in the 1990s through early 2000s. The sentencing took place outside the Prince George's County Circuit Courthouse. One victim, Brittany Sims, stated she was abused while Canton was in a relationship with her mother. The victims, now adults, are speaking up to encourage other possible victims to come forward.
