Litres Removes Classic Authors From Labeling
The digital publisher Litres has removed content labeling laws regarding the mention of narcotic substances. The Litres platform has removed drug warnings from various works of Russian classical literature. The platform stated that according to legislation, warnings are not required for books published before August 1, 1990. Affected works include titles by authors such as Pushkin, Gogol, and Chekhov. The removal follows the previous appearance of incorrect warnings on the platform. This follows new anti-drug measures implemented in Russia on March 1.
