University to Build Memorial for Medical Training Bodies
A university is allocating $3.6 million to construct a memorial and burial site for the bodies of nine children, primarily of African descent, whose remains were used for medical training in the late 1800s. The bodies were discovered during construction in the mid-1990s. Construction is slated to begin next summer.
