Smoke Clouds Streets In Tuapse
Residents in Tuapse report heavy ash and smoke making it difficult to breathe. Local reports indicate fragments of ash are entering apartments. The smoke has prevented sunlight from reaching the streets throughout the day. Authorities are evacuating residents from homes near a factory that is no longer operational. Some streets have been closed due to clouds of smoke, which prevented sunlight from reaching the area during the day. NASA satellite imagery shows black smoke over Tuapse this morning. The smoke was visible in footage recorded approximately 100 km away near Krasnaya Polyana and the outskirts of Sochi. Civil Protection authorities have mobilized over 300 firefighters to combat the fire. Residents were forced to evacuate their homes due to health and safety risks and are receiving temporary accommodation in a local school.
