Special Education Staffing Shortages Reported In Giurgiu
The integration of children with special educational needs into mainstream classrooms is facing challenges in Giurgiu. While the number of students with these conditions has doubled recently, the number of itinerant teaching staff remains insufficient. Only one of the three positions mandated by law is currently occupied, according to a report by Marce Lapetcu. This shortage affects the quality of integration for these students in the mass education system. The shortage affects children with special educational needs who require qualified psycho-pedagogical staff to assist with curriculum navigation. The lack of personnel contributes to the marginalization of students with autism who struggle to integrate in standard classroom settings.
