Tourist Bitten By Cobra In Cairo
A tourist from Bavaria was bitten by a snake, reportedly a cobra, during a snake charming performance in Cairo. The snake allegedly entered the man's trousers and bit his leg. The victim suffered a cardiac arrest and required resuscitation before being transported to a hospital. It is currently unknown if the man consented to the interaction. Egyptian authorities have not released specific information regarding the incident. The risk of snake-related deaths in Egypt is statistically three times higher than in Germany. The source noted that authorities often withhold information to protect the tourism industry.
