Chinese Teenager Life Imprisonment
The Qujing Intermediate People's Court in Yunnan Province sentenced a 14-year-old defendant, surnamed Jiang, to life imprisonment on April 28. The defendant, a 14-year-old surnamed Jiang, was found to have used violence in an attempted rape of a 15-year-old classmate in July 2025. The incident occurred between the night of July 6 and the early hours of July 7, 2025. The court proceedings confirmed the use of violent means during the attack. Between July 6 and 7, 2025, Jiang used violence in an attempt to commit sexual assault. The defendant, identified as Jiang (14), and the victim, Fang (15), were classmates.
