Disinformation Video Claims Putin Reacted To Mali Attacks
A video circulating online falsely claims that Vladimir Putin made a televised statement regarding recent attacks in Mali. The footage used in the video actually shows a jet carcass in a desert from September 2023 clashes between the Malian army and CSP fighters in Aler. The report notes that the Russian reaction depicted in the video is a major axis of disinformation. No such statement by the Russian president has been made.
