Gina Haar Faces Court Appearance
A suspect in the disappearance of a Bangladeshi doctoral student from the University of South Florida is facing a court hearing. The individual is charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the discovery of one student's remains. The second student remains missing. Hisham Abu-Garbi appeared in court before a Tampa judge on Saturday. The suspect was shackled and wearing a protective gown during the appearance. The defendant Gina Haar was led into the courtroom this morning with her feet shackled and a red folder held in front of her face. The proceedings are being held in a courtroom with 156 seats. The mother of Fabian, the individual Haar is accused of killing, is attending the trial as a co-plaintiff.
