Eight Prison Officials Suspected Of Corruption In Euskirchen
Approximately 210 law enforcement officers are conducting searches in the Euskirchen prison and several residences belonging to judicial employees. The searches follow reports of potential misconduct within the prison system. Police conducted searches at a correctional facility, an office at the Euskirchen District Court, and several apartments belonging to judicial officials. Two hundred and ten police officers participated in the operation. Eight justice employees are suspected of granting inmates unauthorized prison leave in exchange for payments.
