Flights To Southern Russia To Resume After 15:00
Aviation disruptions have caused flight delays and cancellations across Russian cities. This suspension follows a UAV attack on the air navigation building in Rostov-on-Don. The dates for the resumption of services are currently unknown. Russians traveling abroad are experiencing flight delays due to airspace closures. A coordinating body is responsible for closing airspace to ensure safety and remove civilian aircraft from potential air defense zones. Southern Russia's airspace was already largely closed, and these restrictions are a blow to air traffic and airline revenue during the May holidays. The situation is not expected to be resolved in the near future. Russia's Ministry of Transport announced that a decision on the timing of resuming flights to Southern Russia with reduced frequency will be made soon.
