Suspected Amok Perpetrator To Appear In Court In Leipzig
Saxony Interior Minister Schuster stated that authorities believe a suspected rampage in downtown Leipzig was likely the work of a lone actor. Police have established an online portal for witnesses to provide information to help clarify the circumstances of the incident. Police reported two fatalities following a rampage in Leipzig on Monday evening. Two people, a 63-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man, were killed during a rampage in Leipzig. Prosecutors are investigating a man for two counts of murder and at least two counts of attempted murder. The fire department reported two people were seriously injured and approximately 20 others were affected. The suspect is scheduled to appear before a judge today. The incident is being described as a suspected 'Amokfahrt' or spree driving attack.
