New Evidence Links Suspects to 2008 German Murders
Police analysis of phone records shows a call was made on January 30, 2008, from a car dealership in Ludwigshafen. Witnesses identified a 26-year-old Somali man, Ahmet Ha, in connection with the case. Two Georgian victims were found floating in an old Rhine riverbed near Mannheim in late February 2008. The suspect allegedly lured the victims with a Ford Escort Kombi to facilitate a robbery. Victims were identified via documents and phones found on their bodies. Investigators believe the suspect lured the victims into a Ford Escort Kombi under the guise of a vehicle sale. The suspect allegedly targeted the victims because they possessed amounts of cash and lacked local family connections in Germany.
