New Expressway Section Opens In Longyan

A new section of the Yilong-Qinghai Expressway opened to traffic at 8:00 AM today. Drivers are reminded of traffic control measures. The section near Tianfu Haiwan remains congested, as does the entrance to the Kowloon toll plaza. Other highway entrances and exits are generally clear. The eastern section of the expressway in Longyan opened this morning at 8 AM, with civil engineering personnel inspecting traffic conditions at the Huancheng Bridge and roundabout. The eastern section of the Yangdu Highway, also known as the Longyan-Xingguo Expressway, opened to traffic at 8 a.m. Roadworks are ongoing in Ho Mun Tin Fat Kwong Street, and some lanes on Chung Hau Street and Fat Ying Street towards To Kwa Wan are closed. The Yangdu east section is scheduled to open on May 3, potentially reducing travel time by 10 minutes compared to routes via Jockey Club Road and Sha Ha Gu Long. Public authorities are urged to install more and clearer signage to inform the public. Drivers are urged to proceed with caution and pay attention to new signage. The new yellow signs are intended to increase public awareness of the route. A new 4-kilometer section of an expressway has opened to traffic in Longyan.
