Suspect To Appear In Darwin Court
Police arrested 11 people following the discovery of a girl's body in Darwin. The arrest sparked looting and unrest in Alice Springs, according to authorities. Acting Detective Superintendent Michael Alderman described the situation as outright looting. Jefferson Lewis is scheduled to face court this week. Commissioner Martin Dole described the circumstances as horrific. Police have arrested five individuals, including the attacker, in connection with the murder of lawyer Hachi Kojayvin. A 47-year-old individual is scheduled to appear in court in Darwin on Tuesday.
