Multiple Moscow Airports Temporarily Closed
Operations at Moscow's Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports were temporarily suspended following sightings of drones. City officials reported that two projectiles were shot down during the incident. Pulkov Airport in St Petersburg also canceled arrivals and departures due to a reported danger situation. Moscow municipal authorities stated that Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports will continue to rely on internal combustion engines for large agricultural machinery. Officials advised increasing the use of biofuels to support climate protection and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The report noted that promoting corresponding energy sources is recommended. Reiner expressed criticism regarding plans by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Reiche to promote small biogas plants under the renewable energy framework.
