Interior Minister Visits Unauthorized Rave Near Bourges
An estimated 20,000 people are attending an unsanctioned techno party on a military site in the Cher region, near Bourges. The mayor of Bangy-sur-Cran, a nearby village of 700 residents, expressed concern about the influx of 30,000 people impacting local capacity and causing traffic blockages. Between 30,000 and 40,000 people attended an illegal rave on a military training ground in France on Saturday. Approximately 20,000 people also attended a similar event on Friday. The site has been used for ammunition testing since 1917 and may contain unexploded mines dating back 150 years. Authorities warned of explosion risks and stated the terrain is unsuitable for parties. French police issued dozens of fines, primarily for drug possession. Approximately 10,000 people have arrived at an illegal reef in France.
