“Housing Bureau teams are talking to owners of the only Wangfuk Court Tower to be spared by November's blaze about the government buying their flats. Wangqi House was originally left out of the buyout plan put forward for the rest of the typo estate, which was ravaged by the deadly fire. To be binding, 75% of the block's owners must sign up by the end of June. Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong says housing officials are on hand to explain things and are not trying to sell the deal.”
