Thailand Aims To Attract 1.2 Million Japanese Tourists By 2059
The Thai tourism and sports ministry plans to restructure the tourism sector to focus on high-quality, high-value tourism rather than just increasing visitor numbers. Thailand aims to elevate its trade assessment ranking from Tier 2 to Tier 1 within four years. The National Administrative Minister stated that the government is focusing on the southern region. Authorities are calling on residents in southern areas to be vigilant against heavy rainfall, which may cause flash floods. Residents in the southern region are urged to be cautious of potential heavy rainfall. From June to August, the southern region will see increased rainfall with localized heavy downpours. The Ministry of Interior has been pushing for this initiative. Officials noted that the goal involves managing approximately 190 billion baht in trade-related value.
