Polish Police Detain Over 1,300 Drunk Drivers
Police in Poland have arrested a 33-year-old boat captain who had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. Authorities are investigating the detailed circumstances and causes of the tragedy under prosecutorial supervision. Polish police detained approximately 400 intoxicated drivers on May 1 and May 2. Karol Gruda, a graduate student from the National Police Headquarters, noted this increase compared to approximately 150 arrests on the last day of April. The report highlights ongoing issues with drunk driving on Polish roads. Police officials have detained more than 1,300 drivers for driving under the influence.
