Minister Details National Celebration Expansion

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu announced plans to extend high-speed rail lines from Karaman to the Mediterranean coast. The minister stated the goal is to reach the Port of Basra in Iraq via these rail connections. Uraloğlu confirmed that the railway layout for the Aksaray to Mersin axis has been completed. The expansion aims to connect Karaman to the Mediterranean through this infrastructure. Current railway developments include the Aksaray and Mersin lines. The expansion aims to connect the line to Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The project is described as a continuation of the historical Hejaz Railway route. Minister of Culture and Trade, Mehmet Nuri, made statements on social media regarding a national celebration. He noted that the celebration expands its scope by adding 5 or 6 cities annually. Last year, the event covered 20 cities, increasing to 26 cities this year. The minister expressed hope that the celebration would reach 32 cities next year, aiming to cover all major cities.
