Swiss Airbus Engine Issue Results in Child Casualties
Six people were injured during an engine fire on a flight departing from Delhi. Six people were injured after an aircraft engine caught fire during a taxiing maneuver at Delhi's international airport. Passengers were evacuated to the terminal and those injured were hospitalized. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway. An airplane engine caught fire at Delhi airport in India during preparations for a flight to Switzerland. Emergency services deployed 28 vehicles and 85 personnel to manage the situation. The incident involved a Swiss Air Airbus A330 which aborted its takeoff in Delhi. A Swiss Air Airbus A330 experienced an engine failure during takeoff from Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. The engine failure resulted in a fire at IGI Airport and caused injuries to 6 passengers.
