Residents Return To Wong Fuk Court Following Fire
Authorities in Hong Kong are allowing residents of the fire-damaged Wong Fuk Court to return in small groups to retrieve belongings. This addition would be alongside seven other blocks of Wong Foo Court. Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong stated the proposal is conditional and depends on whether the government decides to proceed. Residents of Wong Fuk Court will be allowed to return to their homes to pack belongings from next month 13th to 17th. Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration Matthew Cheung stated that residents from seven remaining blocks can enter with a maximum of four people per unit. Each visit is limited to three hours, though multiple entries are permitted. The arrangement follows a similar process used for the AZG blocks.
