Hanoi Improves Urban Road Safety

Hanoi authorities have issued a new decision amending regulation 01 regarding road transport activities in the capital. Under the new rules, pickup trucks, passenger shuttle vehicles with construction department permits, and contract vehicles with up to 29 seats are permitted to operate 24 hours a day. However, contract vehicles with more than 29 seats and parked vehicles are restricted from operating during peak hours between 6:00 to 9:00 and 16:00 to 19:30. Vehicles operating during these peak windows must obtain approval from the city police. The security center, under the direction of Captain Fang Huanglie, is responsible for maintaining urban roads to ensure smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety on sidewalks.
