Beijing Parks Host 3.31 Million Visitors During Holiday

The Beijing Municipal Park Management Center reported that 508,700 visitors attended various parks and the China National Forest Museum on the first day of the May Day holiday. The park plans to introduce more fragrant and uniquely shaped Chinese rose varieties. During the flower festival, over 100 'Guoying' series flowers, including the unique Mingwei Hong, were displayed, many cultivated by Liu Dongjun. Additionally, the 'Luosifen' apricot, known for its unique scent, was introduced and has gained popularity. Future plans include expanding the Chinese rose collection with more fragrant and uniquely shaped varieties. Yuanyuan Pond Park in Beijing was a popular destination during the recent flower festival, ranking third in visitor numbers after Yiheyuan and Tianchi Park during the Qingming holiday. The park, historically known as Tiyu Tai and later Yuetan, was a site where Emperor Qianlong built a temporary palace. Park curator Liu Dongjun meticulously cares for each flower, considering them his treasures. During the May Day holiday, major municipal parks in Beijing received a total of 3.311 million visitors. Citizens and tourists enjoyed the scenery and visited city parks. Tourists and citizens enjoyed the scenic beauty and visited various city-level attractions. A manager at a Taizhou mall reported a 20% year-on-year increase in foot traffic and a rise in sales during the recent holiday period.
