Polish Matura Exams Begin With Disruption
Approximately 450,000 students will sit for the annual Matura exams starting Monday, May 4, following the long weekend. Central Examination Commission Director Robert Zachrzewski stated that the high number of graduates is a result of previous education reforms, including the six-year compulsory schooling mandate and the abolition of middle schools. The cohort includes 345,000 high school graduates. Robert Zachrzewski was mentioned in relation to the examination process. Students must complete compulsory exams in Polish, mathematics, and a foreign language. Requirements include scoring at least 30% on exams and attempting at least one exam at an advanced level. The process also includes two oral exams in Polish and a foreign language. Students in Poland are preparing for the Matura exams, which include oral examinations in Polish and a foreign language.
