Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov announced the creation of four city-wide social centers. Botyagin was originally detained in Poland in December of last year. Archaeologist Alexander Butyagin has returned to Saint Petersburg following his release from a Polish prison. Butyagin was detained in Poland last December after Ukrainian authorities accused him of conducting illegal research in Crimea. The Russian FSB reported his release from Polish custody on April 28. The Russian Federal Security Service reported the release of Butyagin from a Polish prison on April 28. The move stems from comments Macierewicz made in September regarding the leadership of the Military Counterintelligence Service, whom he described as Russian agents.
