British Couple In Iran Crossed Border In December
British nationals Lindsay and Craig Foreman, who were arrested in January 2025, are facing sentencing in Iran. The pair had been in the country since December 2024 and originally intended to stay for only a few days. The sentencing follows Foreign Office advice warning against travel to the region. The couple crossed into Iran in late December 2024 while on a motorbike journey toward Australia. Their arrest followed prolific social media posts regarding their travels and conversations about living a good life. The couple entered Iran from Armenia in late December 2024. Craig Foreman spoke from Evin Prison in Tehran, noting that four of his cellmates have been executed. Lindsay Foreman stated she spends her time reading and practicing yoga while in custody. British citizens Lindsay and Craig Forman were sentenced to 10 years in prison in Iran.
