Wuhan Opens 35 Kilometer Subway Segment
The line is described as Asia's longest subway loop. The 35.32-kilometer line connects key transport hubs including Wuchang Railway Station and central functional areas like the Central China Financial City. The line traverses the Yangtze River and passes through the Qingshan, Wuchang, Hongshan, and Hanyang districts. The segment spans 35.32 kilometers, running from Gangdu Garden Station in the north to Moshuihu Park Station in the south. The project was designed by the China Fourth Survey and Design Institute. The design team for Wuhan Metro Line 12 utilized advanced technology to implement complex interchanges with existing municipal engineering. The first segment of Wuhan Rail Transit Line 12 has officially commenced operations. The 35.32-kilometer route runs from Gangdu Huayuan Station to Moshuihu Park Station.
